The new Gambian leader is making a two-day “friendly” visit to Congo Brazzaville, a press statement from his office reveals.
Adama Barrow is expected to depart from the Banjul International Airport at 10 a.m. on Friday, according to the press release which does not reveal much detail about his visit.
“The Office of The President wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency, Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia will travel to Congo Brazzaville on a two day friendly visit,” the release stated.
“The President and delegation will depart Banjul International Airport at 10:00 AM on Friday, 14th April 2017 and those invited to see him off are requested to be at the airport half an hour before departure for the usual ceremonies.”
This will be Barrow’s fourth visit to a foreign country as Gambia’s president after Senegal, France and Belgium.
